Boeing announced that the first B787-10 Dreamliner made for Singapore Airlines was off the assembly line at the South Carolina plant.

SIA is expected to receive its first 787-10 in mid-2018 and enter medium-range route operations. Singapore Airlines, as the first 787-10 launch customer, ordered a total of 30 aircraft, and another 19 for purchase intention.

B787-10 is longer than the B787-9 by 5.5 meters, with B787 family of passenger comfort and long-range capacity. Fuel consumption and emissions will be lower than its replacement model by 25 per cent.

Data show that manufacturing the Boeing 787-10 is to respond to the challenges of Airbus A350. B787-10 can carry capacity of up to 300 to 330 people and fly to the range of 12,984 km.

Meanwhile, Singapore Airlines will exhibit at ITB Asia 2017 on 25 to 27 October 2017 highlighting the future trends of air travel with the airline as it marks its 70th Anniversary of business operations.
