Scoot, short for Scoot Tigerair Pte Ltd, has just announced that it is launching direct scheduled flight to Osaka Kansai from Singapore and from Osaka Kansai to Honolulu on 19 December 2017 using one of its B787-800 Dreamliner aircraft. It will fly to Osaka Kansai and Honolulu on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays.
On 19 December 2017, Scoot flight TR700 departs from Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 for Honolulu via Osaka Kansai at 10.45 am, arrives in Osaka Kansai at 5.30 pm for Japan-bound passengers to alight before taking off for Honolulu from Osaka Kansai at 7.25 pm and touching down in Honolulu at 7.30 am local time.
On 19 December 2017, flight TR701 embarks on the return voyage from Honolulu to Singapore via Osaka Kansai at 9.35 am, transits in Osaka Kansai at 2 pm before departing from Osaka Kansai for Singapore at 3.10 pm and arriving in Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 at 9.10 pm on 20 December 2017.
Return flight to Honolulu starts from 950 Singapore Dollars (Fly fare) and is now open for sale at www.flyscoot.com. One-way flight ticket is not available for sale.
The direct flights to Osaka Kansai and earlier-reported direct flights to Sapporo add more passenger capacity to Japan and highlight the ever-increasing demand for direct flights to Japan in the low-cost travel market. Scoot's weekly flight frequencies to Osaka Kansai via Kaohsiung and to Sapporo via Taoyuan remain unchanged.
Only Scoot's flights to Narita from Singapore remain indirect since they route via Taoyuan. There is still a very high demand for direct low-cost flights from Singapore to Narita or Haneda, the Tokyo International Airport.
