Tigerair Taiwan commences scheduled flights to Singapore from 26 September 2014

Tigerair Taiwan, the low-cost subsidiary of China Airlines in venture with Tigerair, is commencing scheduled flights to its first international destination Singapore from 26 September 2014. It inherits its airline code IT from defunct carrier Kingfisher Airlines.

On 26 September (Friday), Tigerair Taiwan flight IT511 departs from Taipei - Taoyuan at 10.20 am for Singapore and arrives in Changi Airport Terminal 2 at 3.05 pm. At 3.45 pm, it leaves for Taipei - Taoyuan under flight IT512 and touches down in Taipei - Taoyuan at 8.30 pm. The weekday return flight timings are valid until 25 October 2014.

From 27 October (Monday), flight IT511 departs from Taipei - Taoyuan at 9.50 am for Singapore and arrives in Changi Airport Terminal 2 at 2.35 pm. At 3.25 pm, it leaves for Taipei - Taoyuan under flight IT512 and touches down in Taipei - Taoyuan at 8.15 pm.

The Sunday flight of IT511 however starts from 9.55 am to 2.35 pm and the IT512 flight on the same day begins at 3.45 pm and ends at 8.30 pm. Sunday flight schedules are valid till 25 October 2014. From 26 October, every Tigerair Taiwan Sunday flight departing for Singapore will start at 9.50 am and ends at 2.35 pm while the Sunday flight leaving Singapore will commence at 3.25 pm, arriving in Taipei - Taoyuan at 8.15 pm.

As the new flights of Tigerair Taiwan are subject to bilateral regulatory approvals, all online tickets of Tigerair Taiwan at www.tigerair.com/tw are currently only available for customers' pre-registration and reservations. Once the flights have been approved by the Civil Aeronautics Administration (Taiwan), customers must pay to purchase the reserved tickets online.

Tigerair Taiwan plans to launch flights to another three Southeast Asian cities from October onwards and aims to open new routes to Seoul-Incheon, other South Korean cities and Japan from Taipei - Taoyuan by end of the year.

China Airlines holds the 90 per cent stake in Songshan Airport-headquartered Tigerair Taiwan while the remaining 10 per cent stake is held by Tigerair.
