Shandong Airlines returns to Southeast Asia with new flights to Cambodia and Thailand

Shandong Airlines, which previously operated scheduled flights to Singapore from Jinan via Shenzhen from 30 May 2004 to 2006 and three-year flights linking Qingdao and Singapore since August 2004, is returning to Southeast Asia with new flights to Siem Reap and Phnom Penh in Cambodia and Chiang Mai in Thailand via Chongqing next week.

From 15 September 2014, Shandong Airlines flight SC1175 departs from Jinan at 7.25 am, arrives in Chongqing at 9.30 am before departing at 11.40 am for Siem Reap and arriving in Siem Reap at 3.15 pm. At 4.15 pm, flight SC1176 leaves Siem Reap for Jinan via Chongqing. It arrives in Chongqing at 7.15 pm where it transits for two hours before leaving Chongqing at 9.15 pm and touching down in Jinan at 11.15 pm. Flights from Jinan to Siem Reap take place every Monday and Friday.

From 17 September 2014, Shandong Airlines flight SC1179 departs from Jinan at 7.25 am, arrives in Chongqing at 9.25 am before departing at 10.30 am for Phnom Penh and arriving in Phnom Penh at 2.40 pm. At 3.40 pm, flight SC1180 leaves Phnom Penh, transits in Chongqing at 6.50 pm before leaving Chongqing at 10.15 pm for Jinan and touching down in Jinan at 12.15 am the next day. Flights from Jinan to Phnom Penh take place every Wednesday and Sunday.

From 16 September 2014, Shandong Airlines flight SC1177 departs from Jinan at 7.10 am, arrives in Chongqing at 9.15 am before leaving Chongqing at 11.15 am for Chiang Mai and arriving in Chiang Mai at 1.55 pm. At 3.30 pm, flight SC1178 leaves Chiang Mai and transits in Chongqing at 6 pm before leaving Chongqing at 9.15 pm for Jinan and touching down in Jinan at 11.15 pm. Flights from Jinan to Chiang Mai via Chongqing are on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Shandong Airlines established its Chongqing Branch Company in March 2013 to inaugurate more domestic and international flights via Chongqing. The Jinan-headquartered airline has also announced new domestic flights linking Beijing with Xiamen, Xi'an, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Shanghai and new routes linking Qingdao with Nanchang and Nanning, Zhengzhou and Sanya. On 12 September 2014, it will inaugurate flight services on the new Jinan-Zhengzhou-Korla route.
