The first international flight at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2 (KLIA2) is operated by Cebu Pacific Air on 2 May 2014. On that day, Cebu Pacific flight 5J501 arrives in KLIA2 at 12.35 am from Manila before taking off at 1.20 am for Manila under flight 5J502 as the first outbound flight at KLIA2.
The first domestic flight at KLIA2 will be operated by Malindo Air.
Tigerair and Tigerair Mandala operate flights to KLIA2 later on 2 May from Singapore and Jakarta.
The anchor tenant AirAsia operates at KLIA2 on 9 May.
KLIA2's aircraft traffic control tower is the tallest in the world, at 141.3 m. The terminal has express rail links with KLIA and KL Sentral stations. KLIA2 is likely to challenge Subang Airport for fast traffic access to the city centre of Kuala Lumpur.
