ITB Asia 2013 Exhibitor Jet Asia Airways, with its headquarters in Bangkok, has applied for an AOC to be a scheduled airline and plans to become a full-fledged scheduled flag carrier by August 2014.

Jet Asia Airways currently flies regular charter services to Tokyo-Narita from Suvarnabhumi thrice a week. Between 17 January 2014 and end of April 2014, flight JF988 departs from Suvarnabhumi on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays at 12.45 am, arriving in Narita at 9.10 am before taking off for Suvarnabhumi at 2 pm, touching down in Suvarnabhumi at  7.10 pm on Wednesdays, Fridays and Mondays. Flight tickets are sold in bulk by Jet Asia's official travel and tour agent partner Journey Far Travel.

Once it passes the necessary formalities and got the license to operate scheduled services, Jet Asia Airways will convert its charter flights to Japan, China and South Korea to scheduled services and commence new scheduled flights to Jakarta in October 2014.

On 17 January 2014, the Thai airline received its first Boeing B767-300ER, registered as HS-JAS. A land-marking aircraft anointing ceremony was held in Suvarnabhumi Airport on that day. Jet Asia Airways has now five aircraft of the B767-200 type and one aircraft of the B767-300ER type.
