China Eastern's C919 jet's inaugural test flight to Nanjing on 22 May 2023

At the end of 2022, China Eastern Airlines (China Eastern, in short) received the world's first C919 large aircraft, numbered B-919A, and has been operating commercial test flights. On 22 May 2023, it added a new location and flew to Nanjing for the first time.

According to very accurate information, the C919 passenger plane took off from Chengdu Shuangliu Airport at 1.50 pm and arrived at Nanjing Lukou Airport at 3.45 pm under flight MU7802 on 22 May 2023. This is also the first C919 of China Eastern Airlines to fly to Nanjing Lukou Airport.

Previously, on 17 May 2023, the B-919A aircraft carried out the adjustment flight with the flight number MU9003, took off from Pudong at 9.17 am and landed in Hongqiao Airport, Shanghai, at 9.41 am.

At 1.50 pm on 8 May 2023, the eighth aircraft of C919 took off from Pudong with the provisional registration number B-001K, following the provisional registration number used by ARJ21 before.

It is understood that this is the first flight of the eighth C919, and it will also be the second C919 delivered to China Eastern.

By the end of 2022, the C919 large passenger aircraft has received a total of 1,035 orders from 32 customers.

The C919 large aircraft is a 168-190-seat narrow-body mainline airliner developed by China Commercial Aircraft Co., Ltd., which is specially designed for short-to-medium-range routes. It has a capacity of 190 seats, and its scientific name is "medium and short-range twin-engine narrow-body civil transport aircraft".
