TransNusa's first ARJ21-700 commercial flight on 18 April 2023

The first COMAC ARJ21 passenger aircraft introduced by Indonesian airline TransNusa was officially put into commercial operation on 18 April 2023 after passing a series of strict operational certification by the Indonesian Civil Aviation Authority and successfully completed the maiden flight from Jakarta's international airport in Cengkareng to Denpasar. It provides safe, comfortable and affordable air travel services for Indonesian people and passengers from all over the world.

On 18 April 2023, The TransNusa ARJ21-700 flight 8B5112 leaves Cengkareng for Denpasar at 1.13 pm, touches down in Denpasar at 3.42 pm before leaving Denpasar for Cengkareng at 9 pm and landing in Cengkareng at 9.31 pm local time under flight 8B5113.

TransNusa flies to Denpasar from Cengkareng daily.

ARJ21 passenger aircraft is a medium-short-range jet regional passenger aircraft developed by COMAC, with a flight range of 2225-3700 kilometers. It has good high-temperature performance and crosswind resistance, and is suitable for Indonesia's climate and geographical operating environment. The ARJ21 aircraft is equipped with two reliable and widely used GECF34-10A engines for regional aircraft, as well as Honeywell flight control system and Collins avionics system. Up to now, more than 100 ARJ21 passenger aircraft have been delivered, and the safe operation has exceeded 200,000 flight hours.

The ARJ21 passenger plane introduced by TransNusa adopts a 95-seat all-economy class layout. The cabin interior, passenger seats and exterior painting are all customized by TransNusa, and the passenger seats are made of full leather seat fabrics. The fuselage of the aircraft is printed with the Indonesian national flag pattern, and the exterior painting is designed based on the color tone of the Logo of TransNusa, which reflects the firm concept of TransNusa for the sustainable development of aviation.
