Starlux Airlines launches flight to Sendai on 1 April 2023

Starlux Airlines launches its return flight from Taoyuan to Sendai on 1 April 2023. The first flight JX862 operated by A321neo of Starlux departed at 12.04 pm (original time 11.40 am) and landed in Sendai at 3.52 pm (expected scheduled arrival time 4 pm) before flight JX863 left Sendai for Taoyuan at 5.36 pm (scheduled time 5.20 pm) and arrived in Taoyuan at 8.12 pm (scheduled time 8.10 pm). 

Sendai is Starlux's sixth Japanese destination, to which Starlux Airlines flies daily.

The inaugural flight event of Starlux Airlines was held at the A6 boarding gate of the first terminal of Taoyuan International Airport. An exclusive canvas bag with the words FLY TO SENDAI was customized, and Sendai's famous "fox" and "Fu Niu" were drawn by Taiwanese illustrators. Other figurines such as “Edamame”, as well as Taiwanese imagery bubble tea and other childlike and cute illustrations, are printed into embroidered cloth stickers for passengers on the inaugural flight to Sendai where they create their own Sendai canvas bags.

At the same time, the must-drink "Edamame Milkshake" in Sendai is also provided in the departure lounge, allowing passengers on the inaugural flight to enjoy Sendai food in advance before the start of the journey. The flight attendants of Starlux Airlines also experienced the unique "Fox" and "Fu Niu" filters on the Sendai route with passengers on the spot.

Starlux Airlines pointed out that the fleet continues to expand according to the plan. Its fleet
currently comprises of 20 aircraft, including 13 A321neo, four A330neo and three A350. The destinations include Danang, Ho Chi Minh City, Macau, Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Okinawa, Sendai, Changi, Manila, Hanoi, Cebu, etc., a total of 16 cities, and from 26 April 2023 Starlux's inaugural flight to Los Angeles opens up the transfer market, allowing passengers to conveniently travel between North America and Asian big cities.
