China Southern becomes the first airline to receive 2 A319neo jets on 19 February 2022

China Southern Airlines (China Southern in short) has inducted into its fleet 2 new high-performance "High Plateau" aircraft A319neo at one time! In the morning of 19 February 2022, China Southern  officially becomes the first airline in the world to operate the A319neo. The new model will provide important support for the operation of China Southern's "High Plateau" route and achieve high-quality and green development.

After the addition of the new passenger aircraft, China Southern Airlines Group's fleet has reached 881 sorties, making it the airline with the largest number of transport aircraft, the most developed route network and the largest annual passenger volume in China. Throughout 2022, China Southern will also successively introduce two A319neo passenger aircraft, which are expected to be delivered by July.

China Southern A319neo passenger aircraft has applied many latest technologies, including CFM International's new generation LEAP-1A engine, with a range of up to 3,650 nautical miles, which not only meets the thrust requirements for "high plateau" operation, but also has a noise level comparable to that of the previous generation aircraft. It will bring passengers a quieter and more comfortable flight experience.

The two new airliners are also equipped with Sharklets, which have significant environmental performance. Fuel consumption is 20% lower than previous generation aircraft, CO2 emissions per seat are 20% lower and NOx emissions are 50% lower than CAEP/6 (6th meeting of ICAO Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection) standards.

The new passenger planes all adopt a comfortable three-class cabin layout, including 4 Business Class seats, 24 Pearl Economy Class seats and 108 Economy Class seats. Passengers will have a more comfortable and enjoyable flight experience.
