On 6 February 2022, Air New Zealand Dreamliner 787-9 is sighted operating its first relief flight to Singapore from Auckland, a day after the New Zealand Government announced that the national flag carrier is allowed to operate international repatriation flights for New Zealanders.
Air New Zealand flight NZ1083 departs from Auckland for Singapore at 12.14 pm local time and touches down in Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 at 5.20 pm on 6 February. The intended scheduled time is leaving Auckland at 12 pm for Singapore and arriving in Singapore at 5.35 pm.
On 7 February 2022, the outbound flight NZ1084 leaves Singapore for Auckland at 3 pm and is expected to land in Auckland at 5.55 am on 8 February 2022.
Air New Zealand has deferred its planned 787-9 resumption commercial flight to Singapore from 27 March 2022 to at least October 2022, subject to the condition of the covid pandemic and bilateral approvals.
