According to foreign media reports, recently, Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov asked the country's state-owned airline to sign an agreement with Frankfurt-based aircraft leasing company Aircraft Finance Germany. According to With this agreement, Turkmenistan Airlines will purchase a Boeing 777-200F freighter.
Officials in Turkmenistan believe that this new aircraft will help improve aviation infrastructure and further expand the business of the country’s air transport companies overseas.
Turkmenistan Airlines has a fleet of about 30 aircraft, of which the passenger aircraft are mainly Boeing 737, Boeing 757 and Boeing 777, while the cargo aircraft in service is only the Il 76 aircraft type.
