Due to the covid pandemic, NokScoot announced that its Board of Directors has passed a resolution on 27 June 2020, deciding to close down the company. The shareholders of Nok Air will review the above resolutions at the EGM held within 14 days. It is expected that the resolution will be passed at the EGM and then the executive executor will be formally appointed.
NokScoot understands the impact of this development and does everything in its power to support affected stakeholders.
To date, in accordance with the Thai Labour Law, 425 employees of NokScoot have been laid off and granted severance conditions. A small group of employees will continue to carry out aftercare work until the completion of the company closure process, and then they will get the same conditions of dissolution.
NokScoot will provide a one-time preferential compensation for goodwill to customers who hold unused NokScoot booking credits and vouchers based on its shareholding in NokScoot, 50% of the value of its booking. Affected customers can visit this website (http:/NokScootPaxClaim.lyscot.com) to learn more about the application process and timetable for submitting refund requests and receiving refunds. Please do not directly contact the call center of Scoot Airlines or Scoot. Affected customers who previously made group bookings through a travel agency (group travel of 9 people or more) should contact the original booking travel agency for assistance.
NokScoot will actively contact our partners to provide requirements and more detailed information on how to submit a one-time payment application.
Once NokScoot has appointed a creditor enforcement unit, it will provide further details for its creditors to file their claims.
NokScoot is very grateful to the travel industry and customers for their firm support since 2014.
