Tibet Airlines launches flight to Golog from Chengdu on 3 June 2020

Tibet Airlines announces on 3 June 2020 that it has completed its inaugural non-stop round trip flight to Golog from Chengdu using its Airbus A320 aircraft.

On 3 June 2020, Tibet Airlines flight TV9869 departs from Chengdu for Golog at 9.05 am, arrives in Golog at 11.05 am before leaving Golog for Chengdu at 11.45 am and landing in Chengdu at 1.40 pm under flight TV9870.

Tibet Airlines flies to Golog from Chengdu non-stop on Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays and Mondays.

On 12 May 2020, the airline launches weekly flight to Golog from Chengdu via Xining.

Golog is the Tibetan Autonomous prefecture in the southeastern part of Qinghai Province. It has Animaqing Peak (one of the four great mountains in Tibetan Buddhism), Nianbaoyuze Peak, Zhaling Lake, Eling Lake, beautiful natural scenery, scenic spots,  famous temples and cultural landscapes. Legend has it that Songzanganbu married Princess Wencheng on the banks of Eling Lake in Golog. It can be described as one of the birthplaces of moving stories of unity and friendship and national integration. It is rich in plant resources and is a sacred place for scientific investigation of plateau ecological environment and the location of the Yellow River Source Park in Sanjiangyuan National Park.
