Singapore Airlines has made the following announcement on 12 September 2019: It will take over SilkAir's flights to Busan with effect from 28 October 2019 and maintain the four-flights-weekly frequency.

On 28 October 2019, Singapore Airlines flight SQ616 departs from Changi Airport Terminal 3 for Busan at 11.10 pm, arrives in Busan at 6.35 am on 29 October 2019 before leaving Busan for Singapore Changi at 8 am and touching down in Changi at 1.25 pm under flight SQ615.

The above flight timings on the Singapore - Busan route are effective on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays while flight SQ615 arrives in Singapore at 1.25 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and weekends.

On Wednesdays, flight SQ616 arrives in Busan at 6.30 am.

Flights to Busan are operated by its Airbus A330-300 aircraft, which feature 30 Business Class and 255 Economy Class seats.

The A330 aircraft of Singapore Airlines can accommodate up to 123 more passengers per flight than SilkAir's 162-seat B737-800 aircraft. Thus, it will boost seat capacity on the Busan route by 76 per cent, to meet growing travel demand to South Korea.
