Sayacinta - Airpost has received a letter from
Vinay Dube, the CEO of Jet Airways, on the Indian airline's commitment to
growth and sustainability. Vinay said that Jet Airways will start utilizing its
first B737 MAX in 2018. A total of 11 B737 MAX aircraft are scheduled to be
inducted into the airline's fleet this year.
Jet Airways has ordered from Boeing 225 B737 MAX
fuel efficient aircraft as part of its commitment to create a growth-oriented
and sustainable future for the airline's stakeholders and revitalise
passengers' inflight experience.
Vinay cautioned, "Despite the high growth
environment, the Indian aviation industry is currently passing through a
challenging phase, given a depreciating rupee and the mismatch between high
fuel prices and low fares". However, he is confident that Jet Airways will
continue to be "successful in combating such business volatility".
One of the measures is utilizing fuel-efficient aircraft like B737 MAX.
He ended, "Jet Airways will continue to
accord the highest priority to safety, backed by our signature warm Indian
hospitality and reputed award-winning loyalty programme".
Jet Airways celebrates 25 years of flight
operations in 2018.
