At 9.38 am on 1 December 2023, flight KR9755 operated by Cambodia Airways flew safely from Phnom Penh International Airport to Sanya Phoenix International Airport (Sanya, in short) under Hainan Airport Co., Ltd. After transferring passengers in Sanya, Hainan, it continued to fly to Singapore Changi Airport (Changi, in short). This is the first fifth freedom rights scheduled passenger route to be opened by a Hainan Free Trade Port airport.

Cambodia Airways flight KR9755 departs from Phnom Penh for Changi via Sanya at 7.05 am, stops over in Sanya at 9.55 am for Hainan-bound passengers to alight before bringing other passengers to Changi from Sanya at 10.55 am and touching down in Changi at 2 pm local time.
Flight KR9756 leaves Changi for Sanya at 3 pm, touches down in Sanya at 5.55 pm before taking off from Sanya for Phnom Penh at 9 pm and arriving in Phnom Penh at 10.15 pm.
Flights KR9755/KR9756 fly to Sanya and Changi on Fridays and Tuesdays with A320 aircraft.

ASEAN member countries have open air traffic rights arrangement with CCP China
The ten ASEAN member countries have reached an open air traffic rights arrangement with CCP China, and passenger flights from both parties are not subject to restrictions on traffic rights and the number of airlines. The opening of the Phnom Penh=Sanya=Changi fifth-freedom passenger route will give full play to the respective advantages of the three major hubs of Sanya, Phnom Penh and Changi, accelerate cooperation, exchanges and industrial complementation among the three parties in the tourism industry, and form a route network with complementary advantages and overlapping functions that make positive contributions to connecting Sanya and Hainan Province to the world, smoothing travel and economic and trade personnel exchanges, stimulating economic development, and effectively promoting the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port as an international tourism consumption centre.
