GX Airlines plans to resume flight to Changi from Nanning on 6 December 2022

GX Airlines, short for Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines, plans to resume commercial flight from Nanning to Changi on 6 December 2022 with its Airbus A320 aircraft. It previously suspended flights in March 2020.

On 6 December 2022, GX Airlines flight GX8967 leaves Nanning for Changi at 12.20 pm, touches down in Changi Airport Terminal 1 at 4.10 pm before leaving Changi for Nanning at 5.40 pm and arriving in Nanning at 9.30 pm under flight GX8968.

However, as of 5 December 2022, the flight data has not appeared at the database of Changi Airport and FlightRadar24. Only Aviability shows the flight status as "Planned". Trip reveals that GX Airlines has cancelled the 6 December 2022 flight and the closest date of flight resumption is 13 December 2022.

The reporter checks with Changi Airport. The airport customer service executive revealed that GX Airlines did not notify the airport on flight resumption plan and the date 6 December 2022 cannot be found in the database. On normal circumstances, the latest flight status will be reflected in the database up to 2 hours before flight arrival. 

GX Airlines intends to fly to Changi on Tuesdays only. It first launches scheduled flight from Nanning to Singapore on 12 December 2018.
