The 25-year-old Turkish girl Rumeysa Gelgi is currently the tallest woman in the world. She encountered difficulties when she wanted to study in the United States, due to physical reasons. She could not board the plane smoothly, so Turkish Airlines removed 6 seats and made a special stretcher before she could board the plane smoothly.

Gelgi is the tallest woman in the world certified by Guinness World Records. She is 7 feet 0.7 inches (2.15 metres) tall and has suffered from a rare genetic disease, Weaver Syndrome, since she was a child, so her bones grow wildly, and she soon surpasses her parents, but she cannot walk freely and can only rely on walking aids. The device moves a short distance. When she travels on weekdays, she relies on a wheelchair and lying in a car, and is assisted by others to move. (video)

In September of this year, Georgie plans to study software development in San Francisco for six months but how to cross the Atlantic has become a difficult problem.

Due to her tall size and health reasons, Gergi cannot sit on the plane. If she wants to lie on the plane, the current airline plane does not have enough space for her to lie down, and there is no wheelchair that can help her get in and out of the plane.

After receiving her request, Turkish Airlines decided to help the passenger realize her dream of studying, so it removed 6 seats on the plane and customized a special stretcher. This will allow Gergi to enter the cabin in a wheelchair, then lie down on a stretcher and secure. During the 13-hour flight, she was able to move with the help of staff. Upon arrival, staff pushed her off the plane. (video)

After successfully arriving in San Francisco, Gergi happily left a message on Turkish Airlines' social media account, "This is my first time flying, but it must not be the last. From now on, I will be loyal and happy to fly with Turkish Airlines, fly to all parts of the world.”

Back in 2014, at the age of 18, Gergi was recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's tallest teenage girl. Last year, she was certified as the tallest woman. Earlier this year, she broke two more Guinness World Records with her 4.4 inches (11.2 cm) fingers and 23.58 inches (59.9 cm) tall back.

The tallest man in the world, Sultan Kösen, is also in Turkey, and he is certified at 8 feet 2.82 inches (2.51 m).
