MIAT Mongolian Airlines leases out 737 MAX 8 and now owns JU-1021

According to Zela Aviation, the official air chartering GSA of MIAT Mongolian Airlines, MIAT has agreed to lease out its Boeing 737 MAX 8 to other airlines based in Europe, South America, the Caribbean and Asia from 1 July 2022 for ACMI wet lease and damp lease operations.

Meanwhile, MIAT announced on its Facebook that it will pay premature rental payments for its B767-300ER (registered JU-1021) and own the aircraft. It can operate the aircraft without restrictions to Frankfurt by passing through Russian airspace.

MIAT Mongolian Airlines noted, "MIAT has honored its duty to pay off the US EXIM bank's secured loans ahead of time, reversing Mongolia's foreign debt to a certain extent, and has honored its duties to the Mongolian Government and Ministry of Finance."
