Ruili Airlines launches inaugural international flight on 25 March 2018

Ruili Airlines, the sister airline of  Phnom Penh-based JC International Airlines, announced on 9 March 2018 that it is launching its inaugural international flight from Kunming to Sihanouk International Airport in Cambodia on 25 March 2018. Its Kunming - Sihanouk flight service marks its official entry into the international travel market.

On 25 March 2018, Ruili Airlines' outgoing flight departs from Kunming for Sihanouk at 7.10 pm, arrives in Sihanouk at 10.15 pm before leaving Sihanouk for Kunming at 11.15 pm  and touching down in Kunming at 1.55 am on 26 March 2018. The flights are operated by Ruili Airlines' B737 aircraft.

The new Sihanouk flights of Ruili Airlines are strategic as the Chinese airline is looking into possibilities in code-sharing with and connecting to JC International Airlines' flights from Sihanouk to Siem Reap, Phnom Penh. Kuala Lumpur and in future, Don Mueang, Hong Kong, Taoyuan, Macau and Singapore.

Besides Sihanouk, Ruili Airlines plans to introduce new routes such as Kunming - Xishuangbanna - Chiang Rai and Kunming - Xishuangbanna - Chiang Mai within the next few months. Other planned destinations in Southeast Asia and South Asia from its headquarters base in Kunming include Kolkata, Dhaka,  Kathmandu, Yangon, Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, Singapore and Manila.

Ruili Airlines also aims to establish new bases in Shenyang and Lanzhou in order to start international flights to South Korea, Japan, the Middle East and Europe in due course. It has a purchase order of a B787-900 Dreamliner aircraft.
