Xizang Airlines, formerly known as Tibet Airlines, plans to launch Hong Kong-Chengdu Shuangliu-Lhasa route on 29 November 2026. It currently has weekly scheduled flights from Chengdu Tianfu and Yuncheng to Hong Kong on different days with A319-series aircraft.
Most of Xizang Airlines' domestic flight operations are based in Shuangliu. Since Shuangliu has recently opened to regional flights from Taiwan and Hong Kong, Xizang Airlines is actively searching for opportunities to operate international flights from Shuangliu with its mixed "TIBET AIRLINES" and "XIZANG AIRLINES"-named fleet!
Xizang Airlines, that transitions to its new name from Tibet Airlines on 16 February 2026, still has two Airbus A320 aircraft under the former name "TIBET AIRLINES". Most of its A330-200 aircraft now spot the new name "XIZANG AIRLINES" on the aircraft fuselage while it retains the call sign "TIBET".
