Uzbekistan Airways, the national flag carrier of the Republic of Uzbekistan, has confirmed an order for 12 Airbus A320neo family aircraft, comprising eight A320neo and four A321neo jets. The new aircraft will join the airline's current fleet of 17 A320 family aircraft. Engine selection will be made by the airline at a later stage.
The Airbus A320neo family of aircraft will feature the new Airbus Airspace cabin, bringing exceptional comfort to the single-aisle market. Uzbekistan Airwayss plans to further expand its domestic and international route network by introducing new aircraft.
The Airbus A320neo series aircraft has received more than 8,600 orders from more than 130 customers around the world. Thanks to the application of the latest technologies including new-generation engines and sharklets, its single-seat fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced by at least 20%.
