According to a set of photos released by Twitter netizen "Eurospot", a China Eastern Airlines A350 passenger plane painted with the words "1st A350 delivered from China" (the first A350 delivered from China) was unveiled in Toulouse. This means that the aircraft will fly to Tianjin and be delivered to China Eastern Airlines by the Airbus Tianjin wide-body aircraft completion and delivery center, marking the first delivery of the A350 passenger aircraft outside Europe.

In November 2019, China's National Development and Reform Commission He Lifeng and Airbus CEO Fu Li signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on Further Development of Industrial Cooperation" on behalf of both parties. According to the agreement, the Airbus Tianjin Widebody Aircraft Completion and Delivery Center will start the cabin installation and aircraft painting of the A350 widebody aircraft, and plans to deliver its first A350 aircraft in 2021.

It is reported that this will be China Eastern Airlines' 10th A350 aircraft.
