Capital Airlines launches scheduled flight to Lisbon on 26 July 2017 instead

Contrary to China media expectation, Capital Airlines' inaugural Beijing - Lisbon flight service will take off on 26 July 2017 instead, and not 25 July 2017.

According to Capital Airlines' web-site, the Beijing-headquartered airline known also as Beijing Capital Airlines will first launch its initial scheduled flight to Macau on 25 July 2017 to pick-up Beijing-and-Lisbon-bound passengers and the first outbound flight for Lisbon from Beijing will depart on 26 July 2017 instead.

On 25 July 2017, Capital Airlines flight JD5759 departs from Beijing for Macau at 7.50 am, arrives in Macau at 11.20 am before leaving Macau for Beijing at JD5760 at 4.40 pm and touching down in Beijing at 8.05 pm.

On 26 July 2017, Capital Airlines flight JD459 leaves Beijing for Lisbon at 1.10 am and touches down in Lisbon at 7.30 am local time. It embarks on the return journey to Beijing under flight JD460 3 hours later at 10.30 am on 26 July 2017 and arrives in Beijing on 27 July 2017 at 5.55 am.

Macau-bound passengers from Lisbon and Beijing will be transferred to the Macau-onward flight JD5759 on 27 July 2017.

Capital Airlines flights JD5759 and JD5760 on the Beijing-Macau-Beijing routes are operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays by one of Capital Airlines' Airbus A320 aircraft while flights JD459 and JD460 operated by Airbus A330 aircraft leased from Hainan Airlines are conducted on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Besides the new routes to Macau and Lisbon, Capital Airlines as the Beijing subsidiary of Hainan Airlines has regular international flights from Beijing to Copenhagen, Madrid, Male, flights from Guiyang, Xi'an, Zhanjiang to Suvarnabhumi, flights from Wanzhou to Hong Kong, flights from Haikou to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap and flights from Qingdao to Melbourne, Moscow and Vancouver. Its first flight from Qingdao to Sydney will be launched on 9 August 2017. It plans to launch scheduled A330 flights in 2018 to Helsinki, Mexico City and Zagreb.

Capital Airlines, formerly known as Deer Air and Deer Jet, also has an extensive domestic flight network where its fleet of A319, A320 and A321 aircraft operate from its bases in Beijing, Haikou, Qingdao, Hangzhou and many more key metro cities in China.
