Cambodia Angkor Air launches flight to Hong Kong on 7 February 2024, Cambodia e-Arrival card in use

Cambodia Angkor Air, that has removed flights to Changi and Delhi from its flight ticketing system, launches non-stop scheduled flight to Hong Kong from Phnom Penh on 7 February 2024 with its Airbus A320 aircraft.

On 7 February 2024, according to schedules, Cambodia Angkor Air flight K6650 departs from Phnom Penh for Hong Kong at 5.30 pm, touches down in Hong Kong at 9.05 pm before leaving Hong Kong for Phnom Penh at 10.05 pm and landing in Phnom Penh at 11.35 pm under flight K6651.

Cambodia Angkor Air flies to Hong Kong on Wednesdays.

Passengers arriving in Phnom Penh until end of June 2024 are encouraged to complete Cambodia e-Arrival card within seven days prior to arrival in Phnom Penh and the type of visa and health status have to be indicated on the on-line arrival card. There is no option for ASEAN nationals to tick "no need visa" in order to enter Cambodia. Paper forms of the arrival card are available to fill in at the airports but the Cambodia e-Arrival card is mandatory for Cambodians and other entrants from 1 July 2024. 

The Cambodia Immigraion is not available for comment on the filling up matters of the new arrival card.

Customers interested to enter Cambodia should do their checks on the Cambodia e-Arrival card before they purchase their tickets.

Urumqi Air arrives in Suvarnabhumi during daytime on 12 January 2024

Urumqi Air has commenced its first daytime flight to Suvarnabhumi from Urumqi via Luoyang since 12 January 2024. The flight lands in Suvarnabhumi in the afternoon after 3 pm on Fridays, the first time in the airline's history since international flight inception.

According to updated flight schedules, Urumqi Air flight UQ2641 departs from Urumqi for Suvarnabhumi via Luoyang on Fridays at 7 am, transits in Luoyang at 10.50 am before leaving Luoyang for Suvarnabhumi at 12.35 pm and touching down in Suvarnabhumi at 3.45 pm.

Then later in the afternoon, outbound flight UQ2642 leaves Suvarnabhumi for Luoyang at 5.05 pm, touches down in Luoyang at 10.10 pm before taking off from Luoyang for Urumqi at 11.45 pm and landing in Urumqi at 3.50 am on Saturdays.

On Wednesdays, flight UQ2641/UQ2642 operates to and leaves Suvarnabhumi at late time hours with UQ2641 leaving Urumqi for Suvarnabhumi at 2.50 pm, stopping over in Luoyang at 7 pm and taking off from Luoyang for Suvarnabhumi at 9.40 pm and arriving in Suvarnabhumi at 1.05 am on Thursdays. Then, UQ2642 leaves Suvarnabhumi on Thursdays at 2.35 am and touches down in Luoyang at 7.45 am for passengers to alight before continuing on the return voyage to Urumqi at 9.45 am and arriving in Urumqi at 2 pm.

The Urumqi-Luoyang-Suvarnabhumi flights are the only Southeast Asia flight service from Urumqi after the airline withdraws from the Singapore travel market. It first extends the route from Luoyang on 1 November 2023 before the extension to Suvarnabhumi was increased to twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays from 3 December 2023. Due to increasing demand for earlier arrivals in Bangkok, the Friday flight is thus timed to land in Suvarnabhumi at estimated 3.45 pm and there are no more Sunday flights to Suvarnabhumi from Urumqi and Luoyang.

UQ2641 actually lands in Suvarnabhumi on 12 January 2024 at 3.46 pm according to FlightRadar24.

Hainan Airlines flies twice a week to Ho Chi Minh City from 15 January 2024

Hainan Airlines launches twice weekly scheduled flights to Ho Chi Minh City from Haikou from 15 January 2024 with its B737-800 aircraft.

On 15 January 2024, Hainan Airlines flight HU767 departs from Haikou for Ho Chi Minh City at 12.35 am, touches down in Ho Chi Minh City at 1.40 am on 16 January 2024 before leaving Ho Chi Minh City for Haikou at 2.45 am and arriving in Haikou at 5.55 am under flight HU768.

Hainan Airlines flies to Ho Chi Minh City on Mondays and Thursdays and returns to Haikou on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Turkmenistan Airlines plans flight to Ho Chi Minh City on 5 March 2024

Turkmenistan Airlines plans to launch direct scheduled flight from Ashgabat to Ho Chi Minh City on 5 March 2024 and it is scheduling seven further flights at the moment in March but the inaugural flight date may subject to change as the airline has yet to announce officially on the new flight to Ho Chi Minh City. April flights are not available for booking.

On the planned schedule to Ho Chi Minh City, flight T5657 is expected to arrive in Ho Chi Minh City from Ashgabat at 1.30 am on Tuesdays (5 March 2024), at 5.20 pm on Thursdays effective 7 March 2024 (Thursday) while flight T5656 is expected to leave Ho Chi Minh City for Ashgabat at 3.30 am (6 March 2024) and 7.20 pm (7 March 2024) and touch down in Ashgabat by 9.15 am and 1.05 am respectively.  However, at the moment, Turkmenistan Airlines has not confirmed the actual flight schedules yet and any change to the inaugural flight date may be possible.

LOT Polish Airlines operates flights to Suvarnabhumi from Katowice and Warsaw

LOT Polish Airlines has resumed passenger flights to Suvarnabhumi from Poland since 4 November 2023.

The first flight from Katowice to Suvarnabhumi takes off on 4 November 2023 under flight LO6515 while the retruning flight to Katowice from Suvarnabhumi departs on 5 November 2023 under flight LO6516.

The first resumption flight to Suvarnabhumi from Warsaw proceeds on 6 November 2023 under flight LO6519 and the first resumption flight to Warsaw from Suvarnabhumi takes off on 7 November 2023 under flight LO6520.

LOT arrives in Suvarnabhumi and leaves Suvarnabhumi for Katowice every Saturday/Sunday with its 787-8 Dremliner while there are 787-9 Dreamliner flights between Warsaw and Suvarnabhumi on Mondays/Tuesdays.

Flight timings are subject to changes without prior notice.

EL AL Israel Airlines launches flight to Fort Lauderdale on 15 April 2024

EL AL Israel Airlines launches direct scheduled flight from Tel Aviv to Fort Lauderdale on 15 April 2024 with its 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

On 15 April 2024, according to schedules, EL Al flight LY21 departs from Tel Aviv for Fourt Lauderdale at 12.05 am, touches down in Fort Lauderdale at 6.35 am befire leaving Fort Lauderdale for Tel Aviv at 2 pm and arriving in Tel Aviv at 9.05 am on 16 April 2024 under flight LY22.

The travel time between Tel Aviv and Fort Lauderdale is between 12 hours 5 minutes and 13 hours 30 minutes. EL AL flies to Fort Lauderdale on Mondays and Fridays and returns to Tel Aviv on Tuesdays and Saturdays (Sabbath).

EL AL is the first airline from Asia to operate continental flights to Fort Lauderdale, the coastal city in Florida known for its  museums, boating industry, beaches, arts and entertainment districts as well the the reknown Hugh Taylor Birch State Park and the International Swimming Hall of Fame.

EL AL Israel Airlines has suspended flights to Hong Kong, Narita, Mumbai and Delhi while it maintains B777-200ER, 787-9 and 787-8 Dreamliner frequent flights to Suvarnabhumi, North America and Europe. It plans to resume flights to Istanbul on 15 April 2024 and to Narita during summer 2024.

On 22 December 2023, Turkmenistan Airlines resumes scheduled flight from Ashgabat to Suvarnabhumi with its B777-300ER. On other days, B777-200 may be used. Next, the airline plans to launch scheduled direct flight to Ho Chi Minh City on 5 March 2024 with subsequent services initially scheduled for the remaining Tuesdays and Thursdays of March 2024 and later to KLIA with its B777-200.

The first resumption flight of Turkmenistan Airlines takes off from Ashgabat for Suvarnabhumi under flight T5647 at 6.15 pm, touches down in Suvarnabhumi at 2.55 am on 23 December 2023 before leaving Suvarnabhumi for Ashgabat at 4.20 am and landing in Ashgabat at 9 am local time on the same day under flight T5648.

The above timings are effective for travel on Fridays/Saturdays.

On Sundays effective 24 December 2023,  flight T5647 leaves Ashgabat for Suvarnabhumi at 3.10 am, touches down in Suvarnabhumi at 11.50 am before departing from Suvarnabhumi for Ashgabat at 2.05 pm and arriving in Ashgabat at 6.45 pm under flight T5648. That is the only current daytime flight of Turkmenistan Airlines in Southeast Asia.

Loong Air launches flight to KLIA on 1 February 2024

Loong Air launches its longest route to KLIA from Hangzhou on 1 February 2024 with its Airbus A320neo aircraft.

According to schedules, Loong Air flight GJ8035 departs from Hangzhou for KLIA at 11 am, touches down in KLIA at 4.25 pm before leaving KLIA for Hangzhou at 5.25 pm and landing in Hangzhou at 10.50 pm under flight GJ8036.

Loong Air flies to KLIA on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Currently, Loong Air has international flights to Suvarnabhumi and Kansai.

Zipair launches flight to Vancouver on 13 March 2024

Zipair, the long-haul low-cost subsidiary of Japan Airlines, has announced that it is launching direct scheduled flight from Narita to Vancouver on 13 March 2024.

According to schedules, Zipair flight ZG22 departs from Narita for Vancouver at 3.40 pm on 13 March 2024, touches down in Vancouver at 8.25 am before leaving Vancouver for Narita at 10.25 am and touching down in Narita at 12.25 pm local time under flight ZG21.

Zipair flies to Vancouver on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays with its 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

Starlux Airlines flies to Hakodate from 1 February 2024

Starlux Airlines launches scheduled flight to Hakodate from Taoyuan on 1 February 2024 with its A321neo aircraft.

According to schedules, Starlux Airlines flight JX860 takes off from Taoyuan for Hakodate at 12.30 pm, touches downn in Hakodate at 5 pm before leaving Hakodate for Taoyuan at 6 pm and arriving in Taoyuan at 9.35 pm under flight JX861.
