JATA Tourism Expo Exhibitor Air Cambodia, that is currently operating ATR72-600 turboprop that shows its new logo, will receive its first two C909 aircraft soon.
According to the Khmer Times, Air Cambodia expects to receive its first two C909 aircraft in November 2026, with the remaining eight confirmed orders to be delivered gradually before 2029.
Sin Chansereyuth, spokesperson for the Cambodian State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA), stated that two more C909 aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2027, three in 2028, and the final three in 2029.
On 17 July 2026, Air Cambodia and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) officially signed a purchase agreement in Shanghai for 20 C909 aircraft.
This signing marks Air Cambodia as the first foreign flag carrier to purchase Chinese C909 aircraft in bulk.
Previously, the airline had publicly announced on its official WeChat account that it was recruiting captains and first officers for its C909 aircraft.
Air Cambodia currently operates two Airbus A320-200s, one A321-200, and three ATR72-600s.
In addition, the airline has a purchase-order of ten Boeing 737-8s.
