Kuwait Airways has announced that it will comprehensively upgrade its Guangzhou route to better meet the growing needs of the international aviation market. This upgrade not only involves the replacement of aircraft models, but also adds convenient transfer services to the United States.
Since its official route launch to Guangzhou in August 2020, Kuwait Airways' "Kuwait City=Guangzhou" scheduled passenger routes have been the only direct flights between China and Kuwait. In order to further improve service quality, the Kuwaiti national flag carrier is upgrading the original Airbus 330-800 aircraft service to a Boeing 777-300ER luxury wide-body aircraft in the new season, increasing the number of seats by 41%.
Kuwait Airways' 777-300ER aircraft is designed with a four-class cabin layout, equipped with 8 unique royal first-class cabins, 36 business class cabins, 54 premium economy cabins and 236 economy cabins, providing passengers with a more spacious and comfortable flight experience. At the same time, Kuwait Airways also provides premium economy class services for passengers who purchase tickets from China, including but not limited to exclusive check-in counters, lounge services, more checked baggage allowance, priority arrangement of spacious premium economy class seats, etc.
After the season change, Kuwait Airways made special use of the sixth freedom rights to connect to the United States, providing a convenient channel for passengers in South China to the East Coast of the United States. Passengers only need to stop at Kuwait City International Airport for 1 hour to smoothly transfer to New York JFK International Airport. The outbound flight time is about 22 hours, and the return flight time is only 19 hours. This arrangement undoubtedly provides a more efficient and time-saving travel option for passengers from South China to the East Coast of the United States and Eastern Canada.
The specific flight schedules of Kuwait Airways are as follows:
The outbound flight KU420 takes off from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 3.45 am on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and arrives at Kuwait City International Airport at 8 am local time. After a short one-hour break, passengers will seamlessly connect to flight KU117, which departs at 9 am from Kuwait City and arrives at New York JFK International Airport at 2.20 pm local time. The return flight KU118 takes off from New York JFK at 4.45 pm every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday afternoon, and arrives in Kuwait City at 12.40 pm the next day. Then, passengers can conveniently transfer to the same company's flight KU419, which takes off for Guangzhou at 1.35 pm and finally lands at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 2 am the next morning.
Kuwait Airways' B777-300ER also operates scheduled flights from Kuwait to Suvarnabhumi and Manila.
