Qingdao Airlines, that has been operating scheduled flights to Suvarnabhumi with its A320neo aircraft (above) since 2023, launches non-stop scheduled flight from Qingdao to KLIA T2 on 9 July 2024, according to Trip.com.
According to schedules, Qingdao Airlines flight QW9893 departs from Qingdao for KLIA at 9.05 am on 9 July 2024, touches down in KLIA T2 at 2.50 pm before leaving KLIA T2 for Qingdao at 3.50 pm and arriving in Qingdao at 9.45 pm under flight QW9894.
The above flight timings are effective for travel on Tuesdays.
On Thursdays and Saturdays, flight QW9894 lands in Qingdao at 9.40 pm.
The flights are operated by Qingdao Airlines' newly-acquired A321neo aircraft. KLIA is the aircraft's first foreign scheduled destination airport and the airline's fourth Southeast Asian destination after Don Mueang, Suvarnabhumi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Qingdao Airlines' expansion of its route network to Malaysia is in response to higher demand for visa-free travel from Chinese and Malaysians following the implementation of thirty-days visa-free travel between Mainland China and Malaysia. For KLIA, Qingdao Airlines is the second Chinese airline to operate flights to KLIA T2, the headquarters and hub of AirAsia, after Hangzhou airline Loongair.
