Bloomberg TV Mongolia first reports the arrival of the new aircraft on 25 April 2024.
Affectionately named "Munkh Khaan", the second 787-9 is registered EI-UBN. The airline plans to introduce this aircraft on new routes to Changi, Australia and the U.S.
When asked when MIAT is resuming direct flight to Changi with EI-UBN, MIAT on Instagram replied "soon" but did not give a definite date on the flight resumption date.
