LongJiang Airlines' livery will be changed to Taiyuan Airlines after headquarters move

On 30 April 2024, Taiyuan Municipal Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Taiyuan Aviation Group to achieve "zero breakthrough" in local aviation.

At the press conference of the Taiyuan Municipal Government on 30 April 2024, He Xuhong, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Taiyuan Municipal Party Committee and director of the Municipal Government Information Office, said that through active investment promotion, the LongJiang Airlines headquarters base was settled in Taiyuan and its registration was changed to Taiyuan Airlines Group.

Tong Li, deputy director of the Taiyuan Foreign Investment Promotion Bureau, said that LongJiang Airlines moved its headquarters from Harbin to Taiyuan, achieving a "zero" breakthrough in local aviation in Taiyuan. Taiyuan now has its first local airline.

Tong Li said that the Taiyuan Municipal Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Taiyuan Airlines Group, with a total investment of approximately 20 billion RMB. Taiyuan Airlines Group will rely on its own advantages to build aviation headquarters, aviation logistics bases, aviation maintenance bases and other core projects in Taiyuan, significantly increase the scale of Taiyuan's aviation industry, inject strong impetus into the construction of Taiyuan's airport economy and headquarters economy, and promote the agglomeration and coordinated development of upstream and downstream enterprises in the aviation industry chain forming an aviation industry cluster effect.

Sun Zhijun, President of Taiyuan Airlines Group Co., Ltd., said that Taiyuan Airlines Group will focus on building Taiyuan Airlines, the first local airline in Taiyuan. The Group will change the livery of LongJiang Airlines and restructure the airline. 

Based in Taiyuan, LongJiang Airlines has successively opened routes from Taiyuan to 11 cities including Harbin, Ningbo, Nanjing, Qingdao, Guilin, Xishuangbanna, Zhuhai, Urumqi, Chongqing and Guiyang.

According to the development strategy of Taiyuan Airlines Group, in the next five years, the fleet size of Taiyuan Airlines will reach 42 aircraft and the number of employees will exceed 4,000 while in the next 10 years, Taiyuan Airlines' fleet size will strive to reach 100 aircraft and the number of employees will exceed 10,000. It currently owns a fleet of two A321 and two A320 aircraft in LongJiang Airlines' livery.

Taiyuan Airlines Group's future plan is mainly to take aviation operations as the leader, drive the upstream and downstream industrial chains, layout eight major sectors, develop three major economies, and strive to achieve the goal of 10,000 employees and 10 billion output value within ten years.

The eight major sectors are mainly air passenger transport sector, aviation logistics sector, aviation tourism sector, aviation maintenance sector, aviation education sector, aviation food sector, aviation real estate sector, and aviation media sector; the three major economies are mainly headquarters economy, airport economy and low-altitude economy. .

At present, Taiyuan Airlines Group has signed strategic cooperation agreements with 10 financial institutions, providing a comprehensive credit of 11 billion RMB to support the Group in becoming bigger and stronger. It has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shanxi Cultural Tourism Group and Shanxi Fenjiu Group. The three parties will work together to carry out resource sharing and in-depth cooperation in aviation + cultural tourism to help Taiyuan become a national regional central city.

In addition, the Group will rely on its own resource advantages, talent advantages, cost advantages, and professional advantages to quickly lay out a new low-altitude economic track.
