The long-awaited inaugural flight to Incheon from Narita has been cancelled by Air Japan.

Air Japan's originally-planned inaugural flight to Incheon, NQ21, on 22 February 2024 has been postponed due to 787-8 equipment malfunction. As a result, the subsequent flight to Suvarnabhumi (NQ1) on 22 February has also been cancelled.

Reactions to the suspended flights are strong.

Netizen Jun Natchada remarks, "Flight from Bangkok-Narita was cancelled last night (21 February 2024). What's the airline responsibility?"

Netizen Noppadol Phanpanyalert comments, "Many Thai passenger very disappointed about this airline, we hope that management if this airline will find the way to resolve this problem in longterm. Otherwise no thai tourist will use this airline again".

Norasigh Kanivhaporn doubts, "Is it true that you only have 1 airplane of BKK-NRT operation, so if anything happen with this airplane, then the flight to be cancel?"

Another netizen Beebe Suwanee says, " We no longer trust your airline. We need money to book our return flight. We have reseved a trip for March 2024. Can we do it?"

24 February 2024 is then planned to be Air Japan's inaugural flight to Incheon with flight NQ21 departing from Narita to Incheon at 10.55 am and landing in Incheon at 1.30 pm. However, this is subject to the aircraft able to resume normal flight operation.

As for flights to Narita from Changi, Air Japan has not yet allowed Singaporeans to book until further notice.

Air Japan first launches its international flight to Suvarnabhumi on 9 February 2024.
