MIAT Mongolian Airlines is launching direct scheduled flight from Ulaanbaatar's Chinggis Khaan International Airport (Chinggis Khaan, UBN) in Khoshigt Valley to Hong Kong on 7 June 2022 with its B737-800. Within the next few months, it may take delivery of its first Dreamliner 787-9 from the Boeing plant in Seattle.
On 7 June 2022, MIAT Mongolian Airlines flight OM297 departs from Chinggis Khaan for Hong Kong at 6.25 am, touches down in Hong Kong at 10.55 am before leaving Hong Kong for Chinggis Khaan at 12.05 pm and arriving in Chinggis Khaan at 4.45 pm under flight OM298.
Initially, MIAT Mongolian Airlines flies between Chinggis Khaan and Hong Kong on Tuesdays and will increase the flight frequency according to market demand.
Meanwhile, Jetphotos contributor Devin reveals that the painting process of MIAT's first Dreamliner 787-9 is almost complete. The aircraft has completed its first test flight in South Carolina on 17 May 2022 and the airline may take delivery of 787-9 later this year. Prospective destinations of MIAT's Dreamliner include Singapore, Darwin, London, Los Angeles and Seattle.
