Singapore Airlines launches daily flight to Shenzhen on 15 November 2020

Singapore Airlines launches scheduled flight from Singapore to Shenzhen on 15 November 2020 using its A350-900 jet.  The flight services are operated daily.

On 15 November 2020, Singapore Airlines flight SQ846 departs from Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 for Shenzhen at 7.25 am, touches down in Shenzhen at 11.20 am before leaving Shenzhen for Singapore at 2.20 pm and arriving in Changi Airport at 6.05 pm under flight SQ847.

Mr. Zeng Guoming, General Manager of Singapore Airlines (China Region), said: “The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area is the core area of China’s major national development strategies. Shenzhen is an important engine for the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. On the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, we hope  by seizing this important node, through the opening of direct flights between Shenzhen and Singapore, we will build an aviation bridge for passenger and cargo transportation between China and Singapore, and contribute to the economic growth of the two countries and the creation of employment opportunities."

He added, "This year is also the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore. The opening of flights between Shenzhen and Singapore is also an important step for us to restore and continue to expand the flight network between China and Singapore. We will continue to maintain active communication with the governments of the two countries to meet passenger and cargo needs. When resuming, the services of other terminals will be resumed in a safe and gradual manner. At present, we have adopted strong health and safety protection measures and a testing system to protect the safety of passengers and employees and gradually restore their confidence in air travel."
