Scoot Tigerair Pte Ltd is the first airline in the world to introduce brown rice hot meals onboard all its B787 and A320 flights from May 2018. The brown rice hot meal is vegetarian and it costs 2 Singapore Dollars less than its traditional white rice hot meals.
A traditional white rice hot meal of a Scoot flight costs 17 Singapore Dollars online.
Everyone hopes Scoot will introduce more brown rice and multi-grain rice hot meals to match the prices of the two-digit price tags.
All other airlines including Singapore Airlines serves white rice and noodles onboard.
