According to Jetstar, its Singapore-based low-cost airline Jetstar Asia Airways is resuming scheduled once-weekly flight from Singapore to Sanya on 27 March 2018 and will fly to Sanya on Tuesdays only. Jetstar Asia Airways suspended flights to the coastal city in November 2017. This was confirmed by Jetstar Asia Airways which shares the same account on Facebook and web-site as Jetstar at jetstar.com.

On 27 March 2018, Jetstar Asia flight 3K881 departs from Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1 for Sanya at 5.40 am, arrives in Sanya at 9.50 am before leaving Sanya under flight 3K882 at 11 am and touching down in Singapore at 2.10 pm using A320 aircraft.

Jetstar Asia Airways also informed Sayacinta - Airpost that it has also suspended flights to Guiyang from Singapore and has no intention to resume flights on this route anytime soon.

Jetstar Asia Airways axed the Sanya and Guiyang routes as it re-deployed its aircraft on its new routes to Naha, Hatyai and Clark.

System-wide, Jetstar  has suspended direct flights from Melbourne to Zhengzhou. From 27 March, Jetstar's flights to China from Melbourne have to connect with Jetstar Asia's flights to Haikou and Sanya via Singapore. The current connection flight to China stops in Haikou only. There are no connecting flights from Melbourne to Shantou Jieyang.
