Golden Myanmar Airlines has introduced 2 ATR 72-600 aircraft on its domestic routes from Mandalay.
The first ATR 72-600 XY-AJM arrived in Yangon on 15 May 2014 and started passenger flights on Golden Myanmar Airlines routes from Mandalay to Myitkyina, Putao, Bhamo, Lashio, Tachilek, Kyaing Tong, Heho and Nyaung O as of 5 June 2014.
Golden Myanmar Airlines took delivery of its second ATR 72-600 XY-AJS on 16 June 2014 which landed in Yangon on 17 June for flight services later on the same sectors.
With the arrival of two ATR 72-600 aircraft, Golden Myanmar Airlines has timed onward departures to Mandalay from Yangon on the same day. Passengers from Singapore will no longer need to stay one day in Yangon for a connection flight to Mandalay on the next day.
