Vietnam Airlines ranked 16th in AirlineRatings.com's 2026 list of the world's 25 best full-service airlines. It also received two accolades: "World's Best Value Business Class Product" and "World's Best Value Premium Economy Class Product."
AirlineRatings' annual assessment evaluates airlines based on metrics such as product quality, passenger experience, comfort, service options, and overall value. This recognition reflects Vietnam Airlines' continued commitment to international service standards and its unwavering focus on safety.
Notably, Vietnam Airlines ranked first globally in value for both its Business Class and Premium Economy Class fares. This distinction highlights Vietnam Airlines' strong competitive advantage in providing high-quality products that balance comfort, service quality, and competitive pricing across its domestic and international network. Vietnam Airlines' cabin design enhances the travel experience, offering more spacious seats, greater privacy, and carefully selected amenities to ensure passenger comfort throughout the journey.
In recent years, Vietnam Airlines has continuously improved its products and services, from operating modern wide-body aircraft to launching meticulously designed cabins and upgraded in-flight facilities. Vietnam Airlines is redefining the travel experience through its innovative "Five Senses Experience" concept, engaging passengers' sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch from check-in to arrival. Simultaneously, Vietnam Airlines continues to strengthen its safety management system to meet the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA), fostering a strong safety culture in all operational aspects.
Vietnam Airlines has standardized its cabin design, optimized its in-flight catering service, introduced exclusive fragrances, and further enhanced the service quality of its crew. In addition, Vietnam Airlines has invested heavily in ground services, including upgrading business lounges at domestic airports. A prominent innovation of Vietnam Airlines is its dedicated check-in lounge at Terminal 3 of Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City—the first of its kind in Vietnam—allowing passengers to complete check-in in a private space before entering the main terminal. These comprehensive improvements collectively create a smoother, more refined, and superior travel experience. Vietnam Airlines Executive Vice President Dang Anh Tuan stated, “Being once again recognized by AirlineRatings as one of the world’s best full-service airlines, and ranking highly in both Business Class and Premium Economy for value, is a tremendous encouragement for Vietnam Airlines. More importantly, it affirms our ongoing efforts to maintain the highest operational safety standards and continuously improve service quality.”
Vietnam Airlines currently operates flights on 113 routes, covering 22 domestic destinations and 39 international destinations, supporting trade, tourism, and global connectivity. Vietnam Airlines boasts a fleet of over 100 modern aircraft, including advanced wide-body aircraft such as the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A350, as well as next-generation narrow-body aircraft, ensuring passenger comfort and operational efficiency.
Looking ahead, Vietnam Airlines aims to achieve a five-star international airline rating by 2030, while continuing to modernize its fleet and further enhance the service quality and passenger experience of its route network. Maintaining and improving operational safety standards will remain the cornerstone of achieving this goal.
Vietnam Airlines' improvement in the 2026 AirlineRatings rankings not only solidifies its position as a leading global full-service airline but also further enhances its influence in the global aviation industry.
