TAAG Angola Airlines is approved by CAAC on 12 January 2021 to launch scheduled cargo and passenger flight to Changsha from Luanda, the capital of Angola. The flight will be operated once a week.

If TAAG finalized the schedules, it will be the first time an African airline is operating to Hunan Province from Luanda with its B777 jet.

Due to the pandemic, TAAG Angola Airlines has terminated non-stop flights to Beijing Capital since 2019.

Currently, African airlines such as Air Madagascar, Kenya Airways and RwandAir operate flights to Guangzhou only. Uganda Airlines has plans to launch A330neo flight to Guangzhou later in 2021 from Entebbe.
