Lao Airlines ends its code-sharing arrangement with SilkAir on the latter's Singapore - Luang Prabang - Vientiane - Singapore routes as Scoot Tigerair Pte Ltd begins its inaugural scheduled flight on the former SilkAir routes to the two Lao cities on 1 April 2019.
SilkAir's last flight from Luang Prabang and Vientiane is on 30 March 2019.
Lao Airlines is focusing on expanding its route network to China. It has recently started a direct charter flight route to Pudong from Vientiane and plans to launch a new route to Wenzhou sometime in 2019.
