Changi Airport T4 is operational. However, the public is not aware of the location of T4's aircraft viewing mall or observation deck as there is no direction sign to the viewing mall.
Firstly, travel by free shuttle bus from the shuttle bus stop at T2 Arrival Hall to T4 Departure Hall and follow the subjects in the pictures below until one reaches the viewing mall.
The picture above faces the shuttle bus stop of T4 Departure Hall.
Turn right (above) and walk.
One will pass by the well-known iconic bird sculptures (above).
Passing by the common check-in area (above) for flights of AirAsia, Thai AirAsia, AirAsia Indonesia, Philippines AirAsia and in future, AirAsia India.
One has to pass by two orchid roundabouts as above.
Pass by the corner facing Automated Immigration Clearance section above.
As one sees the Food Court, walk towards the escalator.
Go up the escalator and clearly view the Immigration corner and baggage checking section (above).
Walk towards the Food Emporium (above) on Level 2M.
From the Food Emporium, continue to walk towards Geylang Prawn Noodle. Walk to the end of the noodle stall. No other way to reach the viewing mall.
The viewing mall is the smallest, unimpressive and the worst constructed aircraft viewing mall in Southeast Asia. It is hidden behind Geylang Prawn Noodle Stall! One will not be able to view an entire aircraft body there.
T4 has no space for students to self-study or for loners to sleep overnight. The above statue message : Pack up and go home.
If one travels by public bus from T2 basement to T4, alight at T4 basement. Board a lift up to the Departure Hall and follow Pictures 9 to 12 earlier in this report to reach the viewing mall.
The escalator above leads one to the Arrival Hall.
Passing by the iconic bird sculpture on Level 1 and continue to walk...
The best location to spot the aircraft of Cathay Pacific Airways at Changi Airport T4 is next to the SATS Inflight Catering Centre Building, behind barbed wires, located outside T4.
One will notice Cathay Pacific aircraft parking upon travel in a free shuttle bus service from T4 to T2 at certain hours of each day.
Pictures 13 onwards show how to reach the free shuttle bus at Level 1 (Arrival Hall and Exit) from Level 2 (Departure Hall).
It takes 10 to 15 minutes to travel from T2 to T4 and vice versa, including waiting time at a queue for a free shuttle bus.
To get far better views of aircraft parking at Changi Airport, the observation deck at Changi Airport T1 is the best.
