Cambodia's sixth airline, JC Airlines, short for JC International Airlines or formerly JC (Cambodia) International Airlines Co., Ltd, launches its inaugural flights to Siem Reap and Sihanoukville from Phnom Penh on 17 March 2017 using its first Airbus A320-200 aircraft.
On 17 March 2017, JC Airlines flight QD665 departs from Phnom Penh for Siem Reap at 8.10 am, arrives in Siem Reap at 8.50 am before leaving Siem Reap for Sihanoukville at 9.35 am and arriving in Sihanoukville at 10.25 am.
Later on the same day, flight QD666 leaves Sihanoukville for Phnom Penh via Siem Reap at 11.05 am, transits in Siem Reap at 11.55 am before departing from Siem Reap for Phnom Penh at 12.45 pm and touching down in Phnom Penh at 1.25 pm.
The re-scheduled flights to Siem Reap and Sihanoukville to the early date in March from 11 April 2017 come at a time when its elder sister airline in China, Ruili Airlines, has applied for rights to mount international flights from Kunming to Southeast Asian cities including Phnom Penh after two years of operating domestic flights in China.
The Phnom Penh Post earlier reported that JC International Airlines had postponed the Siem Reap flight launch date to 11 April 2017.
Both JC International Airlines and Ruili Airlines are owned by the Jing Cheng Group of Companies headquartered in Ruili, Yunnan. JC is short for Jing Cheng, the parent company name of both airlines.
