Emirates is launching the world's longest air route, Dubai to Panama City, on 1 February 2016 using its Boeing B777-200LR aircraft that features 8 First Class, 42 Business Class and 216 Economy Class seats and can carry up to 15 tonnes of key imports and exports including pharmaceuticals, machinery and electronics.

On 1 February 2016, Emirates flight EK251 departs from Dubai for Panama City at 8.05 am, arrives in Panama City at 4.40 pm before leaving Panama at 10.10 pm and arriving in Dubai at 10.55 pm on 2 February 2016 under EK252. Passengers can connect to flights from Dubai to Singapore under EK432 at 2.35 am on 3 February 2016 and touching down in Singapore at 1.45 pm on the same day.

The longest Westbound route from Dubai to Panama City takes place daily and it is the Middle East's first direct flight to Central America.

Singapore has a minority community of Central American expatriates that may well consider flying to Central America via Dubai.
