Scoot, Singapore's long-haul budget airline, commences scheduled services from Singapore to Perth, Western Australia, on 12 December 2013 (moved forward from 19 December), complementing existing Tigerair flights to the City of Lights. It will fly between Singapore and Perth and return to Singapore on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.

The inaugural Scoot flight to Perth takes off at 12.50 pm on 12 December, arrives in Perth at 6.20 pm before ascending to the skies at 7.30 pm for Singapore and touching down in Singapore at 12.45 am on 13 December.

Perth is the third Australian destination of Scoot after Sydney and Gold Coast. Meanwhile, Scoot is conducting feasibility studies on possible direct flights to Dubai, Male and other parts of the Asia-Pacific region where there is a great demand for budget travel.

Scoot currently flies to Sydney, Gold Coast, Taipei, Bangkok, Tokyo, Seoul-Incheon, Shenyang, Qingdao and Nanjing and will fly to Hong Kong from 15 November 2013. It has connection flights from these cities to Tigerair's network of destinations.
