Etihad Airways, the National Airline of the United Arab Emirates, flies to Hong Kong from Abu Dhabi in a code-sharing arrangement with Air Seychelles using Air Seychelles' aircraft from 24 March 2013. The Mahe-Hong Kong-Mahe flights will not be direct.

Hong Kong is Air Seychelles' first Asian destination after it withdrew scheduled flights from Singapore in 2011.

Tickets of the Etihad Airways/Air Seychelles code-sharing flight services are being sold by Air Seychelles' GSA in Hong Kong, The Walshe Group.

Etihad Airways has a stake of 40 per cent in Air Seychelles, its Indian Ocean airline subsidary.
