Air Cambodia re-exhibits at JATA Tourism Expo, increases flight frequency to Narita

Air Cambodia, that exhibits at Tourism Expo Japan (or JATA Tourism Expo) in 2025 in Aichi, is returning to the exhibition grounds at Tokyo Big Sight from 24 to 27 September 2026. This time, the airline plans to formally announce flight frequency increase to Narita via Fuzhou with bigger aircraft.

Effective 25 October 2026, Air Cambodia's sole A321 jet takes over A320 service on the route from Techo to Narita via Fuzhou.

From 15 December 2026, Air Cambodia increases flight frequency to Narita to five flights a week from three.

Air Cambodia plans C909 launch on 15 December 2026, with new C909 route open to Haikou after

Air Cambodia, that is currently operating ATR72-600 flights from Techo to Ho Chi Minh City and secondary cities in Vietnam, is planning COMAC C909 operation launch on its existing route to Nanning from Techo on 15 December 2026, and from 16 December 2026 formally launches new route to Haikou from Techo with the Chinese aircraft.

On 16 December 2026, according to schedules, Air Cambodia's C909 flight K6914 departs from Techo for Haikou at 6.40 pm, touches down on Haikou at 9.35 pm before leaving Haikou for Techo at 10.35 pm and arriving in Techo at 11.35 pm under flight K6915.

Air Cambodia is scheduled to fly to Haikou from Techo on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

On 1 February 2027, the airline launches new C909 route linking Sihanouk with Chongqing with flight K6910 taking off from Sihanouk for Chongqing at 11.30 am, arriving in Chongqing at 4 pm before departing from Chongqing for Sihanouk under flight K6911 at 5 pm and touching down in Sihanouk at 7.30 pm under flight K6911.

Air Cambodia flies to Chongqing from Sihanouk on Mondays and Thursdays.

The C909 will not be deployed on services to Camranh and Phuquoc as Air Cambodia is increasing flight frequencies with the ATR76 to Phuquoc from three flights a week to daily flights from 25 October 2026 and to Camranh from two flights a week to three weekly flights from 17 December 2026.

With the increasing ATR76 flights to Phuquoc and Camranh, the ATR76 flights to Danang will be taken over by Air Cambodia's A320 effective 25 October 2026.

Shenzhen Airlines launches flight to Sydney on 14 December 2026

Shenzhen Airlines launches non-stop scheduled flight from Shenzhen to Sydney on 14 December 2026.

On 14 December 2026, according to schedules, Shenzhen Airlines flight ZH815 departs from Shenzhen for Sydney at 12.20 am, touches down in Sydney at 1.40 pm local time before taking off for Shenzhen at 10.30 pm and arriving in Shenzhen at 5.25 am on 15 December 2026.

Shenzhen Airlines flies to Sydney four times weekly including Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with its A330-300 jet.

IndiGo launches flight to Dar es Salaam on 20 November 2026

IndiGo launches scheduled flight from Mumbai to Dar es Salaam on 20 November 2026.

On 20 November 2026, according to schedules, IndiGo flight 6E1851 departs from Mumbai for Dar es Salaam at 2.20 am, touches down in Dar es Salaam at 6.05 am local time before leaving Dar es Salaam for Mumbai under flight 6E1852 at 7.05 am and arriving in Mumbai at 3.55 pm.

IndiGo flies daily to Dar es Salaam with its A320neo jet.

The Mumbai=Dar es Salaam market is traditionally served by flights of Air Tanzania, the national flag carrier of Air Tanzania. IndiGo's entry to the African market has brought joy to Indians and Tanzanians.

Indian budget airline IndiGo launches scheduled flight from Guwahati to Suvarnabhumi on 27 October 2026.

On 27 October 2026, according to schedules, IndiGo flight 6E1085 leaves Guwahati for Suvarnabhumi at 1.30 pm, lands in Suvarnabhumi at 6 pm before departing from Suvarnabhumi for Guwahati under flight 6E1086 at 8.50 am and arriving in Guwahati at 10.25 am local time.

IndiGo flies between Guwahati and Suvarnabhumi on Tuesdays and Saturdays with its A320neo aircraft.

IndiGo is the first Indian airline to link both airports after Drukair Royal Bhutan Airlines recently resumes flights between both airports.

Air New Zealand resumes flight to Changi from Christchurch on 28 October 2026

Air New Zealand resumes scheduled flight from Christchurch to Changi on 28 October 2026.

On 28 October 2026, according to schedules, Air New Zealand flight NZ64 departs from Christchurch for Changi at 5.05 pm, touches down in Changi at 10.40 pm local time before leaving Changi for Christchurch at 12.30 am on 29 October 2026 and arriving in Christchurch at 3.25 pm local time under flight NZ63.

Air New Zealand flies from Christchurch to Changi with its 787-9 Dreamliner on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and returns to Christchurch on Thursdays, Saturdays and Mondays.

Super Air Jet launches flights from Bandung, plans flight to Changi

Super Air Jet, a budget subsidiary of Lion Air, is commencing new domestic flights from Bandung in late September 2026 with its A320 jet based on scheduled filing.

By 25 October 2026, Super Air Jet will have opened route from Bandung to Denpasar with two weekly flights, by 27 October 2026 commenced twice-weekly flights from Bandung to Balikpapan and by 28 October 2026 expanded its services from Bandung to include twice-weekly flights to Makassar and Pontianak.

By 25 October 2026, Super Air Jet will have launched new service from Bandung to Kualanamu with four flights a week and by 27 October 2026, operated thrice-weekly flights to Pekanbaru.

Super Air Jet is also evaluating a possibility to launch scheduled flight from Cengkarang to Changi after Indonesia AirAsia withdrew from the Indonesia-Singapore travel market recently.

Centrum Air launches flight to Hyderabad on 28 September 2026

Centrum Air, the Uzbekistan budget airline, launches scheduled flight from Tashkent to Hyderabad on 28 September 2026. Flights will operate on Mondays and Thursdays at different timings to Hyderabad.

On 28 September 2026 (Monday), Centrum Air flight C6551 takes off from Tashkent for Hyderabad at 9 pm, touches down in Hyderabad at 2.20 am on 29 September 2026 before leaving Hyderabad for Tashkent at 3.35 am and arriving in Tashkent at 7.45 am under flight C6552.

On Thursdays, flight C6551 departs from Tashkent half an hour later at 9.30 pm and arrives in Hyderabad at 2.20 am while the outgoing flight from Hyderabad to Tashkent on Fridays takes off at the same timing as the Tuesday flight.

Asiana Airlines' Korean Air livery aircraft enters service on 9 September 2026

According to South Korean media reports, industry insiders have revealed that as the merger process advances, Korean Air and Asiana Airlines have begun repainting Asiana aircraft with the new Korean Air livery. Recent photos released by the media show an Asiana Airlines Airbus A321 already sporting Korean Air's new livery, although the fuselage still retains Asiana's logo and company name.

The aircraft is scheduled to enter service on domestic routes starting on 9 September 2026.

This repainting initiative is significant, signaling that with the official merger completion date of December 17 approaching, the brand integration of the two companies is now being physically implemented across their fleets.

On 12 August 2026, Korean Air and Asiana Airlines held their respective board meetings and extraordinary general meetings of shareholders, ultimately approving the merger plan and scheduling the completion of merger registration for 17 December 2026.

Upon completion of the merger, the new entity will continue to operate under the "Korean Air" brand, while the "Asiana Airlines" brand will be retired.

However, this does not mean that all Asiana Airlines aircraft will be repainted with the Korean Air livery on 17 December 2026 itself.

Asiana Airlines' current fleet of 67 aircraft will undergo repainting gradually according to a schedule that takes into account factors such as maintenance cycles and flight operation plans. Consequently, for some time after the new company is officially established, some aircraft retaining the original Asiana livery will continue to operate flights.

The combined fleet will exceed 250 aircraft, and the entire repainting process is expected to take at least three years to complete.

In March 2025, Korean Air unveiled its new corporate logo and aircraft livery. The new livery retains Korean Air's signature sky-blue color but utilizes a newly developed metallic finish for a more modern overall look. The original *Taegeuk* (yin-yang) symbol has been upgraded and simplified, retaining only a streamlined blue outline. On the fuselage, "KOREAN AIR" has been changed to "KOREAN," using a custom typeface with smoother, more fluid lines.

The first Boeing 787-10 aircraft featuring Korean Air's new livery made its debut at a presentation on 11 March 2026 and entered service on 12 March 2026, flying from Incheon to Narita.

Air India Express deploys 737 MAX 8 on Chennai-Changi route from 25 October 2026

Air India Express is taking over Air India's scheduled services to Changi from Chennai on 25 October 2026 when it deploys its 737 MAX 8 aircraft on the route.

Air India Express's 737 MAX 8 aircraft operates this route twice daily.

The twice-daily schedules are as follows:-

Air India Express flight IX628 leaves Chennai for Changi at 2.05 am, touches down in Changi at 8.55 am before leaving Changi for Chennai at 9.55 am under flight IX627 and arriving in Chennai at 11.35 am.

Flight IX630 departs from Chennai for Changi at 1.10 pm, lands in Changi at 8 pm before taking off from Changi for Chennai at 9 pm and landing in Chennai at 10.40 pm under flight IX629.

Air India Express last served this route until July 2025 with B737-800 jets.
