On 1 July 2025, at 9.35 am, CA757 flight operated by Air China C909 aircraft smoothly flew from Hohhot Baita International Airport to Chinggis Khaan International Airport (UBN) in Khoshig Valley, opening a new chapter for Air China C909 to operate international commercial flights.

After landing in the Khoshig Valley airport, CA757 flight was welcomed with the highest courtesy in the civil aviation industry, the "Watergate Ceremony".

This year marks the fifth year that Air China has introduced the C909 domestic aircraft.

Over the past five years, Air China has actively promoted the large-scale operation of domestic civil aircraft. As of now, Air China's C909 fleet has reached 35 aircraft, which have accumulated more than 110,000 safe flight hours and transported more than 4.13 million passengers from the three major operating bases of Beijing, Chengdu and Hohhot.

Air China's C909 fleet currently operates more than 30 routes and has more than 100 flights per day. The airline will continue to promote the large-scale, high-quality commercial operation of domestic aircraft such as C909 and C919, actively participate in the research and development of C929 wide-body aircraft, and build a solid operation guarantee system for domestic aircraft.

Air China's C909 flying the Hohhot-Khoshig Valley route is an important breakthrough for Air China in promoting the international operation of domestic civil aircraft, and an important measure for Air China to actively respond to the "Belt and Road" initiative and expand the "Belt and Road" route network.

So far, Air China has launched 68 "Belt and Road" routes covering key regions such as Asia, Africa and Europe, and has flights to 29 countries. In the summer and autumn of 2025, Air China will also launch "Belt and Road" related routes such as Beijing-Cairo, Beijing-Tashkent, Urumqi-Tashkent, and Beijing-Almaty to help build the "Air Silk Road".

In conjunction with this event, Air China also launched a series of preferential activities. From 1 July 2025 to 30 September 2025, passengers of Air China, Shenzhen Airlines and Shandong Airlines will enjoy discounts on nearly 30 connecting routes originating from across the country and transiting through Hohhot to Khoshig Valley. In addition, Air China passengers can also enjoy exclusive discounts at popular tourist attractions, resorts, hotels and other places in Mongolia.
