Air Cambodia's first ATR72-600 received on 27 May 2025 begins scheduled flights on 28 May 2025

Air Cambodia is proud to announce the arrival of its first brand-new ATR 72-600 aircraft, in Phnom Penh on 27 May 2025. This milestone marks the beginning of a new era in the airline’s ongoing efforts to modernize its fleet, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen domestic and regional connectivity.

On 28 May 2025, the ATR72-600 aircraft starts its maiden passenger flight from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap Angkor followed by flight to Sihanouk from Angkor. On 30 May 2025, it launches its first international scheduled flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

The ATR 72-600 is known for its excellent fuel efficiency—consuming 15–20% less fuel than older aircraft—and its ability to operate on short runways, making it ideal for Cambodia’s airport network.
