ZIPAIR Tokyo launches non-stop flight to Singapore on 7 September 2021

On 21 July 2021, ZIPAIR Tokyo announces that it is launching its first non-stop scheduled flight from Narita to Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1 on 7 September 2021 with its 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft. Besides, another ZIPAIR Dreamliner inaugural flight will depart for Honolulu from Narita on 1 October 2021.

Based on its planned schedules, ZIPAIR flight ZG53 departs from Narita for Singapore Changi at 2 pm, touches down in Singapore at 8.25 pm before leaving Singapore for Narita at 9.55 pm and arriving in Narita at 6.05 am on 8 September 2021 under flight ZG54.

ZIPAIR states that the 787-8 operates cargo/passenger flights to Singapore, subject to  bilateral approval, on Tuesdays.


The Narita budget airline says for the new route to Narita from Singapore, it sells S$65 fixed-price ticket to passengers less than 7 years old (the U6 Standard Value ticket) while the Standard Value and Full-fare ticket values for passengers above 7 years old range from S$195 (to S$649 the lowest fares) to S$3826 (to S$5149 the highest fares) of both categories. These prices exclude airport taxes and other surcharges that must be paid by the passengers.

Maximum carry-on baggage weight is 7 kg.

Passengers onboard ZIPAIR flights are provided complimentary ZIPAIR Care Kits and the cabins have anti-viral and anti-bacterial coating to protect passengers.

Shingo Nishida, President of ZIPAIR Tokyo, commented, "Due to the impact of COVID-19, restrictions on entry into both countries are still in effect, but we hope that our new service to Singapore will provide a new convenient option for those who need to travel to and from Japan for business or pleasure."

Singapore is ZIPAIR's fourth destination from Narita. Its other destinations include Incheon, Suvarnabhumi and Honolulu. The Honolulu flight is launched on 1 October 2021 with flight ZG2 departing from Narita for Honolulu at 7.15 pm, arriving in Honolulu at 7.55 am and flight ZG1 taking off from Honolulu for Narita at 9.55 am and landing in Narita at 1.15 pm on Wednesdays/Fridays and Thursdays/Saturdays.

ZIPAIR Tokyo is the long-haul LCC subsidiary of Japan Airlines. Its first revenue flight is to Suvarnabhumi on 3 June 2020.
