China Eastern Yunnan Airlines is receiving its first 787-9 aircraft in Kunming on 3 November 2018. It has a total order of 15 787-9 aircraft from Boeing. The first four aircraft will be delivered from 2018 and the rest will join its fleet by 2022. These aircraft will enable the airline to launch long-haul flights from Kunming.
